Making a mark – what’s your legacy?
August 11, 2010 in learning, thoughts

The question threw me to begin with but I pulled together a response although it wasn’t perhaps my best, and since then I have returned to it and given it some more thought as I think it is something that each of us, as educators, should know.
I have worked in four different primary schools as the ICT coordinator but my legacy in each would have encompassed some or all of the following points
- the use of technology as a teaching and learning tool is part of every teachers kit
- technology is embedded throughout the curriculum
- learners see technology not as the winning formula but as an integral part of their learning
- eradication of techno-fear
I hope my legacy, my mark, has helped to encourage the staff and children to use technology more effectively.
What about your legacy? What mark have you left?
